Uptown Progressives is a member organization in the Coalition of Democratic and Progressive Organizations.

Our Mission

Uptown Progressives is an open and inclusive community organized to protect the democratic process, promote social justice, and engage citizens in encouraging principled leadership.

Our Goals

To fulfill its purpose, UP will work to:

1. Promote progressive agendas
2. Educate voters about candidates for local, state and national offices and issues of concern to the community.
3. Inform candidates and public officials about issues of concern to the Uptown area.
4. Engage and cultivate new, progressive leaders for our community and state and nation.
5. Coordinate with local, state and national parties and other politically active groups to promote progressive candidates.
6. Expand awareness of critical legislative activity.
7. Advocate on behalf of residents of the Uptown area.
8. Strengthen the Franklin County Democratic Party to foster better representation and service to local communities.
9. Protect the democratic process and the right to vote.
